Today is Martin Luther King Day. Across the United States, many schools and businesses are closed to mark the occasion.


American clergyman, civil rights leader and Nobel Prize Winner (1964) Martin Luther King, Jr., was born on January 15, 1929.


Perhaps the most famous of all of Martin Luther King’s speeches was his “I Have a Dream” speech, which he delivered on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C., on August 28, 1963. Here it is:
