Shake a leg for this new blog prompt

Sorry, I’ve missed a couple of weeks here. I’d offer an excuse or two, but I really don’t have a leg to stand on. Sure, life’s been busy, but isn’t everyone’s?

Here’s a new blog prompt for artists, fiction writers, journaling bloggers, photographers, poets, prose composers, writing teachers, and others.

break a leg

OK, don’t actually go out and fracture your fibia or tear up your tibia. Just run with it! Break a leg -- or at least, a wishbone.

Please consider linking to the Meme Express, if you use this prompt. And c’mon back with a comment link to your own post, so my readers can find it!

Wishing all our US readers and fellow bloggers a Happy Thanksgiving. Peace and goodwill all around as well.

And, as always, relevant blog link comments are welcome at The Meme Express.

Sunday

Blog your best holiday recipes!

The holiday season is heating up, and bloggers are rounding up recipes. Have you published any food favorites? Will you do so soon?

  • Do you know how to make a memorable Thanksgiving turkey?
  • Can you bake the perfect pumpkin pie?
  • Is your gingerbread great?
  • Are you a whiz at Christmas cookie decorating?
  • Do you make mincemeat out of other holiday cooks? (Don’t answer that.)

The Meme Express offers several word prompts to whet your appetite, so to speak. Take a look at this culinary word cloud.

Go ahead. Cook up a storm on your own blog site. Post a scrumptious holiday recipe online.

Then c’mon back, and comment here with your links.

As a courtesy, please link back to the Meme Express on your own site or published piece, if possible.

Grabbing gratefulness for great grin-makers

Who makes you smile? What special people can easily cause you to break out in a big silly grin?

At Thanksgiving time, when we focus extra closely upon the blessings in our lives, we might consider counting such individuals twice or thrice.

French author Marcel Proust (1871-1922) said this about such folks:

“Let us be grateful to people
who make us happy.
They are the charming gardeners
who make our souls blossom.”

Here’s a blogging or creative writing prompt for Thanksgiving week. Use the quote in your post, or simply consider it as a springboard for your own musings. Either way, please remember to mention the Meme Express (and link back here, if you don’t mind).

Then double on back, and leave a comment with a link to your post, so our readers can find what you have published.

Happy Thanksgiving!
