Friz Freleng, legendary American film animator (Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies), was born on August 21, 1906. Freling created many of the most popular cartoon characters for television, including:
Bugs Bunny
Daffy Duck
Pink Panther
Porky Pig
Speedy Gonzales
Sylvester
Tweety Pie
Yosemite Sam
