Lucky Penny

All Aboard the Meme Express – Saturday, May 23, 2009

May 23rd is Lucky Penny Day.

Today’s Meme Express prompt is twofold. Here’s your chance to put in your own two cents!

Use both words, or pick one:

lucky

penny

Perhaps this concept will inspire you to create a drawing, a poem, a short story, or a journal entry. Then return here to leave a comment with your link. (Be sure to include a link to the Meme Express. Grab our train graphic from the sidebar for your link, if you want.)

  1. My Copper Champion - a Horse with Heart
In her younger days, the lovely chestnut mare excelled at three-day eventing. From primo Westphalian bloodlines, she was built to jump with elegance and ease. She glowed in the sun, but she shined brightest in a horse show. Still, she's part of the family.

On Common Cents and Current Events: "A penny for your thoughts?" you ask. Common cents and current events seem unable to coexist. I simply must toss my own two cents in here.
