American singer Maureen McGovern was born on July 27, 1949. Maureen McGovern hit the top of the American music charts in 1973 with her single, “The Morning After.” This love song, part of the soundtrack for the 1974 motion picture The Poseidon Adventure, won an Academy Award for Best Song.
