Monday Mayhem #17 - Theft

All Aboard the Meme Express – Monday, January 25, 2010

Police tracked down an alleged car crook in Polk County, Florida (near Orlando), according to a recent report in the Orlando Sentinel. The man had apparently stolen a 1998 Dodge Durango from a WalMart parking lot. The cops found the man sitting on the couch in a friend’s living room playing a video game.

Guess what video game he was playing:

Grand Theft Auto.

The man had recently been released on bail, having been charged with multiple counts of

Grand Theft Auto.

And the police then charged him with

Grand Theft Auto.

Does anyone see a pattern here?

It’s Monday – time for Monday Mayhem at the Meme Express. The Meme Express for today offers this prompt:

theft

Here are a few optional questions, to get you started:

Have you ever had a car stolen from you?
Have you ever been the victim of any kind of theft?
What did the thief steal from you?
Who was the thief?
Have you ever participated in theft?
What did you steal?
Did you get caught?
Did you return what you stole?

Perhaps this concept will inspire you to create a drawing, a poem, a short story, or a journal entry.  Then return here to leave a comment with your link. (Be sure to include a link to the Meme Express. Grab our train graphic from the sidebar for your link, if you want.)

Of course, if this prompt seems to stump you, feel free to peruse the archives of the Meme Express and publish a blog post on an earlier prompt.
