Mountain Music

All Aboard the Meme Express – Wednesday, May 6, 2009

During this week in 1982, country music super-group Alabama climbed to the top of the Billboard Hot Country list with their hit single, “Mountain Music,” written by Randy Owen.

The song included allusions to such folk and literature classics as Huckleberry Finn, Tom Sawyer and Rip Van Winkle.

Here’s “Mountain Music,” by Alabama.
