A is for “Amadeus.”
Who remembers this 1984 biopic of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, directed by Milos Forman and starring Tom Hulce in the title role and F. Murray Abraham as Antonio Salieri? The film won eight Academy Awards, including Best Picture.

I never saw the movie but it looks interesting. I might have to make a trip to Family Video this week.
ReplyDeleteHello, Fellow Challenger, from #424-Rockin'Chair Reflections! Surprise! I loved Amadeus and try to watch it whenever it runs on HBO. Bought a tape (yes, a tape) of it, years ago, but it's in a box in the shed in the back out of my reach. Thanks for the reminder. Will put on my May to-do list.
ReplyDeleteI have seen this movie. I watched in my band class in middle school. Very interesting! Good luck with the rest of the alphabet.
ReplyDeleteI really liked Amadeus. Certain things about that movie have really stayed with me. I'd like to see it again.
ReplyDeleteI'm here to say hi and welcome you to the Challenge!

This is a family favorite movie. My parents actually went on a date to see it in the theatre. We videotaped it off the TV when it first came to the movie channels. My sister and I each own a copy. We have whole scenes memorized and regularly quote them back and forth. Thank you for the memories. :-)
ReplyDeleteAmadeus was the best! Just incredible! I actually wrote a paper on that movie when I was in college! I've seen it a couple of times!
ReplyDeleteThanks Linda for all the flash backs!
