E is for “E.T., the Extra-Terrestrial.”
Movie buffs would have to be extra-terrestrial aliens themselves not to have heard of this family favorite film.
Released in cinemas in 1982, this Steven Spielberg picture captured viewers’ hearts with the story of a young loner whose life is touched by a strange alien creature that was suddenly stranded in a California suburb.
The cast included Henry Thomas, Drew Barrymore, Peter Coyote and Dee Wallace.

The last 2 days (D & E) have been 2 of my favourite films- I'll definitely be coming back to see what else is on the list!
ReplyDeleteohhhh I so loved ET :) Still love to leave messages on my husband's phone saying: phoooone home!
ReplyDeleteGreetings from the A to Z trail,
Sylvia @ Playful Creative
Love it. My oldest granddaughter is frightened by ET.
ReplyDeleteI love ET now but was frightened by it as a child--not by ET himself, but by the crazy scientists trying to catch him. Someday, I hope to share this great film with my own kids, but I think I'll wait until they get a little bit older to avoid passing on the nightmares!
ReplyDeleteAh, love it! I even have a book version I read every couple of years that I read with my ESL students.
ReplyDeleteCute post about ET. It's definitely something to phone home about. Wishing you out of this world experiences...M. J. from your favorite crochet blog: http://lotsofcrochetstitches.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteET! Really enjoyed it!
