Eerie or Endearing E-prompt for the A to Z Blogging Challenge

E is for “E.T., the Extra-Terrestrial.”

Movie buffs would have to be extra-terrestrial aliens themselves not to have heard of this family favorite film.

Released in cinemas in 1982, this Steven Spielberg picture captured viewers’ hearts with the story of a young loner whose life is touched by a strange alien creature that was suddenly stranded in a California suburb.

The cast included Henry Thomas, Drew Barrymore, Peter Coyote and Dee Wallace.

If you don’t have a blog post idea for E-Day yet, we have two words for you:

“Phone home.”

Oh, and pass the Reece’s Pieces, if you would, please.

  4. I love ET now but was frightened by it as a child--not by ET himself, but by the crazy scientists trying to catch him. Someday, I hope to share this great film with my own kids, but I think I'll wait until they get a little bit older to avoid passing on the nightmares!
