M is for “My Fair Lady.”
Based on the Lerner and Loewe stage musical adaptation of George Bernard Shaw’s “Pygmalion,” this classic musical movie celebrated manners and mastery of high society life in Edwardian England.
The family-friendly film won eight Oscars, including Best Picture, Best Director (George Cukor) and Best Actor (Rex Harrison). The “My Fair Lady” film cast included Audrey Hepburn, Gladys Cooper, Stanley Holloway, and Wilfrid Hyde-White.
