J is for “Jaws.”
Based on Peter Benchley’s 1974 novel of the same name, “Jaws” took a bite out of moviegoers’ collective courage and smashed box office sales records in 1975. The terror-thriller’s star was an animatronic great white shark. Supporting cast in the Steven Spielberg film included Richard Dreyfuss, Roy Scheider, Lorraine Gary, Robert Shaw, and Murray Hamilton.
“Jaws” won three Oscars: Best Film Editing, Best Sound, and Best Original Dramatic Score. Who among us can’t remember the taunting and terrorizing musical undercurrent?
On this 10th day of the A to Z Blogging Challenge, participants may be fighting tooth and nail for topics and ideas. Take a look at the “Jaws” trailer, and see what hits you.
