Long-Lasting L-prompt for the A to Z Blogging Challenge

L is for “Lawrence of Arabia.”

Directed by David Lean, this 1962 epic bio-pic looked at the life of British Army officer T. E. Lawrence (1888-1935), played by Peter O’Toole, focusing particularly upon his heroism during World War I in Arabia.

The cast included Sir Alex Guinness, Anthony Quinn, Omar Sharif, and Jack Hawkins.

“Lawrence of Arabia” was nominated for 10 Academy Awards and won seven, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Cinematography, Best Sound and more.

  1. My wife and I spent a lazy sunday one winter watching this and making clam chowder.

I loved the movie, certainly a classic.

I am trying to read all the A to Z blogs, but coming back to the ones I really like.

  2. Love this movie. Nothing quite like Omar Sharif's introduction at the oasis. One of my favorite film entrances. Very cool!
